Accomodation in Jeddah

General

Jeddah can score with a large hotel offer. Even though all hotel categories are represented, the 4- and 5-star categories seem to predominate. All major worldwide hotel chains but also those from the Middle East are represented. There are both classically furnished hotels with large parks as well as modernly furnished houses. Some of the hotels were built at the beginning of the city’s modernization phase in the 1970s and 1980s; most of the hotels date from recent years, reflecting the boom the city is experiencing in the present.

Corniche Hotels

Many hotels are located in the northern Corniche area, and this is especially true of many of the five-star hotels. Their proximity to the Corniche and the sea make their location great, and one can walk or jog in the fresh air along the Corniche pedestrian promenade. The recently opened (summer 2023) JOUDYAN Read Sea Mall property, for instance, is a high standard hotel overlooking the Red Sea Mall and the exciting Jeddah Corniche Circuit, home of the Formula One Saudi Arabia Grand Prix circuit and therefore of particular interest to all motor sport enthusiasts; https://www.joudyanhotels.com/red-sea-mall. The airport is also not far away. But of course, you can’t walk to the city center from there.

Hotels in the Center

In Prince Mohammad Ibn Abdulaziz Street and the adjacent streets in the Aziziyah District and thus in the center of the city, there are several five and four star hotels. Here you can also find numerous restaurants, eateries and cafes, which are a popular destination for lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, these areas are not designed for walking, so it is a pity that there are few places where you can stroll comfortably, especially in the evening, when life could be in the pedestrian zone. One of these places is around the Assilah Hotel, which should be mentioned in this context; https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/jedla-assila-a-luxury-collection-hotel-jeddah/overview.
