The Museum of Illusions is located in the large Riyadh Park Mall next to King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).
The place hosts over 80 exhibits (according to the Museum), namely optical illusions, holograms, installations and interactive illusion rooms. The Museum of Illusions provides indeed unique experiences for everyone. Children as well as adults will enjoy it.
Most of the optical illusions are explained physically in a simple way, so that the visitor not only takes home the visual impression but also knowledge. It brings the visitor also in a very entertaining way to “philosophical” questions, such as what reality is: what we see or think we see or what the “real” scientific fact is.
One such example is the Beuchet chair that challenges the laws of perception by disguising the size of surrounding objects to make things (and people) appear smaller than they really are.
