The range of hotels in Taif is currently still at a somewhat modest level compared to Jeddah. But here, too, there has been a noticeable increase in activity in recent years and there is now a sufficient selection of 4* to 5* hotels that are modern, clean and comfortable. This is not yet the case for the nearby tourist resorts of Al Hada and Ash Shafa, both of which seem to me to have some catching up to do in terms of the expected standard. You will generally get on well with the English language in these hotels.
