The Al Koot al Naathis is Hofuf’s old centre. The overall condition of the neighbourhood is more due to its age and gives an insight into people’s lives in the (sometimes not too long) past. The Al Mullah house, constructed in the year 1788 by Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Mohammed Bin Omar Bin Mohammed Bin Omar Al Mullah, is considered one of the most important historical traditional buildings in Al Ahsa, in the middle of the Al Koot neighbourhood. The well preserved mansion has witnessed prominent events before and during the unification of the Kingdom.
