Al Ahsa – Prince’s School (Al Amiriah School)

a school for noble and royal boys

Overlooking the old market of Al Ahsa, the Prince’s School is a historic building in the Al Hofuf neighbourhood. This beautiful two-storey square building with neo-Mughal and neoclassical architectural features was opened in 1941 as a school for noble and royal boys – hence the name. A few years ago, it was renovated and is now a small museum offering a glimpse of traditional teaching methods.
