tempi passati

From Adjan Walk, you can then continue along the northern part of the Corniche to Water Tower, or jog along the red-paved running track as well. The trail winds along the shoreline for about 4 km (2.50 mi) to this iconic structure of the Water Tower, which remains highly visible the entire way. you will pass a crescent-shaped pond lined with spherical illuminated sculptures that provide a view of the nearby Jawza Al Qahtani Mosque. The mosque, which is directly adjacent to the waterfront path, was built by Sheikh Ayed bin Farhan Al Qahtani as a memorial to his mother.

After the Jawza Al Qahtani Mosque, it then stands before you in full grandeur – the Al Khobar Water Tower, one of the city’s main attractions. It’s indeed a symbol of the city’s history and modernity. The above photos show the water tower in October 2022. Meanwhile, they reflect a state that does not exist any more. Because, the water tower is undergoing a fundamental modernisation that futurises its characteristic shape, which dates from 2007.
