Adjacent to the northeastern end of Dammam Corniche, although not yet connected, is the quite attractively landscaped and designed King Abdullah Park, which runs along the eastern side of the bay and is in the Ash Shati Ash Sharqi neighbourhood. The park invites visitors to linger and stroll on its Corniche Walk–way directly along the bay. The neatly landscaped and palm-lined walkway offers views of Marjan Island and share of the city area. In the evening, a spectacular sunset can be enjoyed from there. Plantings of trees and palms also provide shaded areas in the park proper.
