Unfortunately, Taif has so far had relatively little to offer in terms of art and culture. But perhaps this will change with the city council’s efforts to actively implement Saudi Vision 2030. With literary readings and festivals, the first step in this direction has already been taken
If you are planning to visit the Souk Al Balad in the evening anyway, you can take a short stroll on the way there to see a series of sculptures displayed in public spaces. The best place to start is near the King Fahd Mosque on King Fahd Road, and then stroll eastwards towards Bab Al Hazm, the northern entrance gate to the souk. The sculptures are at their most impressive during the so-called blue hour.
A number of such sculptures are situated on the central reservation of King Fahd Road, along a footpath leading to the eastern end of Al Hazm Park. At the Bab Al Hazm city gate, you will find the TAIF sign, which is illuminated in the evening.
