One might be inclined to begin the description of Wadi Al Disah by saying ‘that the wadi is one of the seasonal watercourses in the Province of Tabuk. It is located near the village of Al Disah within the Prince Mohammad bin Salman Nature Reserve. …’ But what an inadequate approach of such a profane description for such a gorgeous scenery…!
Wadi Al Disah is a magical landscape and, above all, emotion! And what emotion! It is a place of tranquillity where you can consciously and intensely perceive the soft gurgling and babbling of a watercourse flowing through the wadi and the chirping of tiny birds. Its colour gradations from sandy beige to almost rust red of the impressive rock formations to the yellow-green and emerald green of the date palms and fan palms and the grass green of the reeds, to the pale grey-green of the shrubs of the Ziziphus genus, all under a bright blue sky, offer strong contrasts, create harmonious accents in other places and lead to ever-surprising shades, nuances and colourings in the details. Wadi Al Disah is a dream, rapture, exuberance, stunner, verve, pathos and much more … all in one! For us, it is – to use a completely trivial adjective – the most beautiful place in the Province of Tabuk, which itself is rich in beauty.
Wadi Al Disah runs eastwards from the small village of Al Disah in the west and is around ten kilometres long in its tourist centre.Wadi Al Disah has been included in the development plan for NEOM. Go there before its implementation takes place.
For more information about Wadi Disah, the best way to get there and about the impressive panorama of the Qaraqir Mountain Range, which is close to Wadi Disah, I would like to recommend my ebook ‘SAUDI ARABIA TABUK’.
