Climate in Tabuk

heat and snow

Tabuk is said to have a desert climate. This is more true of the eastern parts inland. In the west along the Red Sea, there are significantly different climatic conditions, which, the further south you go, result in sultry, warm temperatures in summer. The huge Hejaz Mountain Range, which runs from north to south, forms a meteorological boundary between the coast and the hinterland. The Tabuk region is also characterised by its northerly cold air influences and the lowest winter temperatures in the country. Winter temperatures usually range between 6 °C and 18 °C, occasionally dropping below zero at night. The mountainous part receives some times a light blanket of snow in winter, which extends into the valleys; camels (dromedaries) grazing in the snow make for amazing photo opportunities.
