The question of which of the “three cities” to choose one’s hotel as a base for further excursions depends largely on one’s personal preferences and interests. The Corniche area of Khobar has a larger number of modern hotels. Dammam also has a few upscale hotels near the Corniche. An advantage of Dammam over Khobar is certainly the greater proximity to the airport and the fact that the city has the train station with connection to Riyadh, although the train station is already located near Khobar.
