The timeless beauty of the eroded rock formations created ages ago, shaped by wind, sun, water and temperatures, this sculpted landscape, which is one of planet Earth’s most artful works – it is an invitation to pay homage to it through human art. And so it is almost only natural that artists will relate their works visually or acoustically to this geological marvel. Equally worthy of mention in this context are the open-air concerts and the sophisticated ballet performances at Maraya.
Some of these works of art are temporary as part of special exhibitions. These include, for example, the annual Arts Festival in February, with Desert X. Other works of art are on permanent display. Even though some of them are installed in the extensive areas of the resorts, they can generally be visited freely.
