The Sarat sector, which includes the Sarawat mountain range and the city of Al Bahah, makes up a large part of the country. It is regularly influenced by humid air masses from the Tihāmah Plain, which lead to cloud and fog formation in winter, lower temperatures and (by the country’s standards) significant precipitation. A temperate climate prevails here in the spring and summer months.
